About Becky
Design Rooted in How People Actually Live
Becky Thomas — Cedar Knolls, NJ
I started Becky Thomas Interiors because I believed good design shouldn't feel like a luxury reserved for a select few. It should feel like coming home.
For over eight years I've been working with homeowners and businesses across New Jersey — listening carefully, asking the right questions, and translating what I hear into spaces that feel genuinely right. Not just beautiful on paper, but livable, personal, and lasting.
About Becky
Owner & Senior Interior Designer
Becky has been creating a language of design in homes for the past 17 years. She delights in listening to each client's desires and implementing their unique style and personality within their space. In the end, her design will leave you content, comfortable and full of joy in a space created just for you.
Outside of her passion for design is an incredible testimony of her own healing story and the deep impact of the power of prayer. Her love of Jesus, caring for her family and embracing all of God's gifts has led each step of her personal journey, and also the heart of her business. When Becky is not designing, you can find her loving her community, pursuing fitness, gardening outdoors, traveling with her daughter and doing life with her family and friends.
Our homes are vital places where joy and peace should reside and Becky would love to help you rest, live and love well in your sanctuary. Your space is a reflection of your image, and it should make you smile each time you walk in.
Why I Started
A Calling, Not Just a Career
"I didn't start this business to fill rooms with beautiful things. I started it because I believe every person deserves a home that holds them."
There was a season in my life when everything felt uncertain when the walls around me felt less like shelter and more like a reminder of all that was unraveling. It was in that season that I discovered something I hadn't expected: that the spaces we inhabit have the power to heal us, to ground us, to remind us who we are when we've forgotten.
That experience changed the way I design. It moved me from thinking about rooms as collections of furniture and finishes to understanding them as places where real life unfolds — where families gather, where grief is held, where joy is celebrated, where rest is finally found. I couldn't go back to designing any other way.
So I started Becky Thomas Interiors with a simple, deeply felt conviction: that a home should be a sanctuary. Not a showroom. Not a status symbol. A true sanctuary — a place that wraps around you and says, you belong here. That is what I pour into every project, every client, every room. And it is the reason I show up every single day.
Design Philosophy
Beauty That Earns Its Place
I don't believe in design for design's sake. Every choice I make — a material, a piece of furniture, a lighting fixture — has to earn its place in the room. It has to serve the people who live or work there, and it has to feel like it belongs. My work sits at the intersection of restraint and warmth. I'm drawn to natural materials, quiet palettes, and spaces that feel considered without feeling overdone. I want the people in my projects to feel at ease the moment they walk in — not like they're living inside a showroom.
Listen first
Every project starts with a conversation. I want to understand how you live, what you love, and what you're hoping to feel in your space before I put a single idea on paper.
Craft over trend
Trends come and go. I design for longevity — spaces that feel current today and still feel right in fifteen years.
Honest collaboration
I work with you, not just for you. You'll always know where we are, what decisions are coming, and why I'm recommending what I'm recommending.
